Praying for your business or the work that you do is of utmost importance. A lot of people know this, however there are many who are unaware about what the Bible says about business.
I have realized through Bible study that God does not encourage any form of laziness or idleness. In whatever your hands find to do, make sure it pleases and brings glory to God. This means there are certain areas of work that Christians should not delve into (but that will be handled in a different post).
Here is a list of my favourite verses on business and they serve a guide on how to pray concerning your business.
“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.”
Ecclesiastes 9:10 KJV
“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.”
Luke 16:10 KJV
“For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.”
2 Thessalonians 3:10-11 KJV
“But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV
“For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.”
Nehemiah 6:9 KJV
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
Mark 8:36 KJV
“The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.”
Proverbs 14:15 KJV
“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.”

“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”

These are just some of the verses that guide me when I pray for my business. Do you have any favourite verse for your business? Kindly share in the comment section.
