Once upon a time, I lived a life without peace. I cannot to this day explain what exactly caused the lack of peace. If I had to, perhaps there would be a million little pieces of a giant puzzle.
I knew where the answer was, I had dodged it for so long and when I got tired of running, I looked to the only place I knew I could.
Even then, I wasn’t sure. I was sure of the solution but I was not sure where to begin. A part of me wanted to hear from people who had desperately searched for peace until they found it in Christ. Somehow that search led me to several blogs and authors. The list is a long one but one person stuck out to me- April Cassidy @peacefulwife .
To be honest, she didn’t say anything I didn’t already know (I mean no disrespect here). However, listening to her gave me so much encouragement and I went right to the source of peace. I had always known that this was the legit source of peace.
2 things became apparent :
- Peace is a blessing!
“…The LORD will bless His people with peace.”
Psalms 29:11 NKJV
- If you need peace, you need to go to the source of peace. The manufacturer. If you can approach the creator, why settle for counterfeit?
Many of the things we rely on do not bring peace. My masters degree didn’t give me peace neither did my wedding certificate etc.
Eventually I had to run to the source. The source gave to me freely.
In times of trouble, I still have peace because the gift of peace I received does not and will never depend on what goes on around me.
If you are searching for peace, allow me to introduce you to JESUS CHRIST, the Prince of PEACE.
P.S: I got this dress from a thrift store after someone convinced me to start shopping thrift! I love the dress so much!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has become a fave 🖤
